Sami Al Ali, Executive Vice President of MPR, the specialized company in public relations and marketing communications also ruled out that global financial crisis would force the leading companies operating in the Kingdom to reduce their expenses on their marketing and advertising policies.

"There are huge projects which will put the Saudi economy on a path of continuous growth to last till after 2010. It is correct that there is decline in oil prices and slow down in the global economy but Saudi Arabia is making faster growth in diversifying its economy away from energy", he said.

He affirmed that the expected trade and industrial growth in the Kingdom and the region would reflect positively in the service sector, particularly the public relations field.

He predicted that this sector would witness next year a growth rate of about 30% due to the keenness of leading companies operating in the Kingdom to rely on the role played by the public relations programs for promotion of strategic projects and values that strengthen their competing capabilities.

Al Ali stressed the importance for the Saudi companies to study the marketing and advertising policies of international companies which concentrate on adoption and application of public relations strategies along with offering qualitative services and products.

"The Saudi market is currently witnessing a great transformation in the view of Saudi companies towards the public relations programs. For these companies have become believing more in the importance of these programs to support their strategic values and deal with their customers with transparency and clarity" he said.

"Due to the expected growth of several economic sectors including the public sector, it is natural for the medium and large companies working in this field to work out a new strategy for development and marketing plans to cover the wide services of public relations, notably the media services and to boost the communications with social and trade organizations in addition to management of external and internal crisis.

As for his company's plans to make the best use of the expected growth in the public relations market, he said, "we in MPR for Public Relations and Marketing Communications adopted recently a new plan aimed at expanding the scope of our consulting services to include promising markets in the region".

"This plan will contribute to the growth of MPR business in the coming year by about 40%", he added.

"As a company specialized in providing of public relations consultations and services, MPR has drawn an integral plan for development and expansion of its services for the coming year by concentrating on the growing need of public and private companies to promote their services and strengthen their trade marks", Al Ali said in the press release.

He revealed that besides expansion of the services in the region, the new development of MPR for next year includes the establishment of a strategic alliance with an international communications company noting that the details of this alliance would be announced next month.

According to him MPR would dedicate a great part of its strategy to increase public awareness on public relations which he described as one of the most important media and marketing sectors.

He said MPR is looking forward to reach the higher levels set for 2009 to be in the same rank of the international public relations companies while increasing its customers throughout the Gulf and the Middle East".
