The corporation decided to increase its wing area in the exhibition this year and choose a more prominent location for its pavilion to demonstrate a more prominent and civilized image. The new pavilion design focuses on a more modernistic design, which embodies the corporation's leadership in the distribution and marketing of petroleum products, said Mr. Hussain Kazim, Manager, Corporate Communications at Emarat.

He added that "ADIPEC 2008", which launches its third session from 3-6 November next in Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is billed to be the third largest exhibition specializing in oil and gas sector in the world, both in terms of size or number of exhibitors. It is considered to be the greatest in the Middle East and North Africa.

He considered that the participation of "Emarat" in the exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to meet with leaders of the petroleum industry, manufacturers and suppliers, producers and exploration companies and government agencies and quasi-government, as it allows the exchange of experiences and views and to identify new investment opportunities in this important and vital sector.

He stressed that the strong participation of "Emarat" asserts its role in the growing marketing and distribution of petroleum products and related services sector in the UAE, pointing out that the exhibition would be an ideal opportunity to define the various activities of the institution and its services and products and promoting them.

He indicated that the UAE is one of the largest producers and exporters of oil globally, and that hosting of "ADIPEC 2008" and other exhibitions and conferences specializing in oil and gas sectors, stresses the importance of the role of Abu Dhabi in the oil sector at the international level.

Kazim confirmed that, since the beginnings of the oil industry, when the exploitation and proceeds of this product became vital in promoting the march of civilization, reflects the insight of the pivotal role that can be played by this sector in advancing development in the country, noting that it has played a key role in the overall development in Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general.

The conference and exhibition will be held this year in the new exhibitions center of the Abu Dhabi National Company for Exhibitions and Conferences on an area extending for more than 85,000 square meters, which makes it the largest in the history of the ADIPEC series.

ADIPEC attracts in its new session more than 1,400 exhibitors from nearly 55 countries, in addition to 18 national pavilions. The exhibition brings together the world's major international oil companies and equipment makers and national oil and gas manufacturers under one roof.
