Andrew Holdsworth, Director, DuPont Middle East, said:
"Emerging markets present tremendous growth opportunities. This new office builds on a series of DuPont investments to grow our business in countries, that are developing their potential aggressively."
"Over the past several years, we have invested substantially in emerging markets around the world, leveraging our technology and strengthening our market leadership position as we are now doing in the United Arab Emirates. This opening comes as a symbolic milestone marking our commitment to grow in the Middle East. It is a reflection of the right economic environment and customer demand for our diverse offerings," he stated.
Putting its science to work, DuPont is well-positioned for accelerated growth in the Middle East region. The company's approach to growth in these emerging markets focuses on key development cycles used in a country or sub-region: securing and building market access; strengthening capabilities to serve local customers and upgrading routes to market; and optimizing market presence.
Amin Khayyal, Country Manager, DuPont Abu Dhabi, stated at the office launch:
"DuPont presence in Abu Dhabi is only natural when looking at Abu Dhabi's vision, continuous robust growth and encouraging investment environment diversifying to various industries in addition to its oil and gas industry. In the coming months, DuPont will be highlighting its oil and gas offering during the next Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference 2008 (ADIPEC) and will also be participating at the next World Future Energy Summit scheduled in Abu Dhabi early next year."
He added, "We will continue providing solutions to the region's oil & gas, building and construction, food and packaging and transportation industries with a portfolio of innovative products that range from clean technologies to personal protection to building innovations."
