SHUAA Capital strengthens senior management team with new CFO

Michael Burgess has a 13 year track record in accountancy and finance and extensive management experience across a broad range of finance functions worldwide.

He joins SHUAA from Morgan Stanley in New York, where he was the Global Controller for the MSCI Barra division, before moving to an advisory team supporting the Fixed Income business unit on the accounting treatment of new transactions.

Before moving to New York, Michael was the CFO of Morgan Stanley's private bank in Zurich, Switzerland.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michael worked with Lloyds TSB and Nomura Securities in London, as well as Credit Suisse First Boston's head office in Zurich.

Michael is a Chartered Accountant, and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified with Deloitte in Christchurch, New Zealand. He holds a Law degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.
