Mealtime will soon turn into charity time at Oman Air flights. In every Oman Air flight, placed atop the meals tray served to passengers, will be a specially-designed envelope, which passengers can use to drop their change. The proceeds from this will accordingly be handed over to the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs.

Hasan bin Mohammad Al Moosa, Marketing and Fundraising Manager of The Association of Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs, said:
"Our gratitude to Oman Air is profound for offering their helping hands which are sure to bring us the much-needed support. We hope that when people look at the envelope they see the faces of children who are less fortunate, and the smile that they can bring into their lives. The charitable nature of our work and the growing demand for our services has led us to seek more sources of donation and sponsorship. By coming forward to help, Oman Air has proven that actions speak louder than words. A simple gesture from passengers can add up to bring a great change in the lives of the children with Special Needs."

Mr. Abdulrazaq Al Raisi Oman Air's Senior Sales Manager stated that this gesture from Oman Air is hopefully utilized by the passengers on whom the success of the programme fully depends on. Oman Air recognizes its corporate responsibility, and is happy to be of assistance to the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs. A small change from each and every passenger on board any of Oman Air flights can add up to a substantial amount, which in turn will aid the Association to run its various services for the children. We hope that we are able to lend a helping hand to many families, through this initiative.

It is worth mentioning that the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Special Needs' is a 100% charitable organisation that looks after children with special needs, from new born to age six. It depends solely on donations, sponsorships and merchandising products like greeting cards, coffee and tea mugs, caps and T-shirts.

The Association provides a variety of programmes for the children. A day-care center for children to attend every day, a home visiting out-reach programme to help children in their homes, assessment and Rehabilitation for children and finally parental support groups where parents exchange experiences, ideas and support with each other.
