Itisaluna's Official Spokesperson said:
"This announcement comes after we had concluded all the necessary technical preparations, which has allowed us to offer our services with the same quality and efficiency we offer in Baghdad, Basra and Karbala."
Itisaluna will provide fixed wireless voice services in Najaf, which will allow subscribers to make phone calls within and outside the network, in addition to making long-distance calls at competitive rates. This service also includes other benefits offered for the first time through fixed land lines, such as short messages, call waiting and forwarding, caller ID, in addition to a number of other services.
Itisaluna's service also included a number of entertainment services, such as the newly-launched "Dandinha," which allows the subscriber to change the traditional ring back tone that is heard by callers to a more personalized one chosen by the subscriber. Other entertainment services include an auto answering feature (IVR) which offers contests and song dedications; Funbox, which delivers to subscribers classical and Ghazal poetry, jokes, horoscopes and other interesting items; a television short messaging service (SMS2TV) which offers users the opportunity to interact with various television channels and programs through SMS, in addition to many other services.
Itisaluna's data services will also be made available, offering the best possible internet services at world-class speeds. Itisaluna's internet services are based on two different systems to cater to the different needs of its customers. The first package, called (1X) internet, offers speed up to 150Kbps, making it suitable for essential internet browsing, email, chatting and on-line games. The second bundle, geared towards high-end internet users amongst businesses and individuals, is called High Speed Internet (EVDO) with bandwidths reaching 3.1Mbps, allowing users to download large files, listen to music, access on-line games in real-time, video conferencing in addition to the daily day to day internet applications.
The company had previously released mobile phones in the markets of the provinces covered by the company's network, which was considered a strong initiative that enabled fixed wireless lines to operate on CDMA2000 compatible cell phones.
Additionally, Itisaluna offers a limited mobility service to all its subscribers, allowing them to move freely within a certain geographic area while still enjoying all the services provided by Itisaluna with the same quality and efficiency.
It is worth noting that Itisaluna provides both post-paid and pre-paid subscription options to its customers. Post-paid subscribers pay for the service through interim billing, and prepaid subscribers are able to charge their accounts using prepaid scratch cards, which Itisaluna provides with values of 5, 10, 20 and 30 dollars.
