"This is a terrific opportunity for participants to learn from one of the most progressive technology companies in the world," said Jim Young, Co-founder and CEO of Realcomm. "HP has really embraced their role as a leading corporate global citizen. We'll be able to see concrete examples of technology solutions that can help real estate companies achieve their business initiatives in a responsible and forward-thinking manner."
He added,
"Environmental responsibility is not just a fashion statement, it's part of our DNA," added John Hoonhout, Managing Director, Hewlett-Packard Middle East. Responsible leadership in an increasingly interdependent world is not only one of our core values, but it's good business too. Given our commitment to low-carbon IT solutions and numerous other green initiatives, we have much to share with the leading real estate companies that will be at the conference."
Such Thinking is critical for real estate owners and operators. The drive to achieve lower-carbon footprints, for example, is not a passing fad. To the contrary, it is a growing requirement that will go a long way toward distinguishing the winners from losers in the commercial real estate business. As more and more tenants are demanding this from their facilities, it will become a significant point of differentiation.
