Such Thinking is critical for real estate owners and operators. The drive to achieve lower-carbon footprints, for example, is not a passing fad. To the contrary, it is a growing requirement that will go a long way toward distinguishing the winners from losers in the commercial real estate business. As more and more tenants are demanding this from their facilities, it will become a significant point of differentiation.
