BurJuman's year-round Safe & Sound Breast Cancer Awareness Programme has seen thousands of people take part in October events, including the Pink Walkathon, and this week's Breast Cancer Survivor Fashion Show will see the month end in spectacular style.

The fashion show, which will take place at BurJuman on 31 October at 7pm, only features breast cancer survivors who will take to the ramp in a powerful statement of empowerment and strength over this disease.

BurJuman, the home of luxury shopping in the UAE, sees fashion as a powerful medium to demonstrate the resilience and spirit of breast cancer survivors.

The survivor fashion show is an annual event which forms an integral part of the Safe & Sound campaign

Using style and fashion as a platform, the stunning show demonstrates that there is life after breast cancer. The survivors, who take centre-stage during the choreographed parade, are living proof that is possible to combat breast cancer.

"For many breast cancer survivors, regaining confidence and getting their lives back on track is an important part of recovering from breast cancer. We see the fashion show as an ideal way to recognize the survivors for their positive attitudes," said Sabina Khandwani, Head of PR and Marketing, BurJuman.

For many female survivors, taking their place on the catwalk is a chance for them to send a message to women to be vigilant about their health and wellbeing, especially when it comes to breast cancer.

This year, the models will showcase a range of attire from a number of the mall's various fashion tenants.

The Breast Cancer Survivor Show will be held on Friday, October 31st at the Observatory at BurJuman from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

We welcome your attendance along with your photographer at this event.
