The SwissOpenAir Concept is a unique non-linear program designed to stretch people's horizon's and promote breakthrough visions and utilizing multiple venues to showcase, discuss and "connect" important ideas in arts, design, business, film, technology, shows, education, etc.. At nightfall, the unforgettable show experience begins. The centerpiece of this experience is our giant screen technology (over 400 square meters). Lying unobtrusively across the water or land during daylight hours, at nightfall the screen is hydraulically raised over four minutes to stand six stores high. This impressive visual experience is supported by 32 speaker digital surround sound. To complete the experience our film programs are selected and positioned as a festival of film. Typically a season will feature premiere, recent release films titles, spanning a range of genres and market positions; from comedy to thriller, and block-buster to art-house, and sharing a common suitability to the «Open Air environment»
