Visa combines shopping and football to offer cardholders fantastic rewards

To celebrate Visa's worldwide partnership with FIFA and its sponsorship of the Middle East's premier shopping festival, the leading payment solutions provider is offering cardholders across the region the chance to win a trip to the Dubai Shopping Festival 2009 and a once in a life time opportunity to go to the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa.

Cardholders using a Visa credit or debit card to pay for purchases will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a trip to the Dubai Shopping Festival while one lucky cardholder will win a trip to the much anticipated 2010 FIFA World Cup™.

Commenting on the exclusive promotion available to Visa cardholders, Norliza Kassim, Head of Regional Marketing, Middle East and North Africa, said:
"Visa continuously strives to develop promotions that offer value to cardholders and provide unique experiences. By bringing together shopping and football, Visa has combined two favourite past times of the region, to create a remarkable campaign for cardholders to enjoy."


Twelve lucky cardholders will win a package for four to attend DSF 2009, including flights and four nights accommodation at a 5 star Marriott hotel in Dubai.

Visa won the worldwide rights to FIFA's competitions from 2007 to 2014.

The FIFA World Cup is the most watched sports event in the world.

FIFA estimates that more than 26 billion cumulative viewers in 214 countries watched the 64 matches that made up the 2006 event.

As a worldwide partner of FIFA, Visa will support official FIFA events such as the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in Egypt in July 2009, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai, November 2009 and the FIFA Club World Cup held in the UAE in 2009 and 2010.
