FIFA estimates that more than 26 billion cumulative viewers in 214 countries watched the 64 matches that made up the 2006 event.
As a worldwide partner of FIFA, Visa will support official FIFA events such as the FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in Egypt in July 2009, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai, November 2009 and the FIFA Club World Cup held in the UAE in 2009 and 2010.
