Emaar Malls Group spokesperson added, "Sprawling over 12 million sq ft with an internal floor area of 5.9 million sq ft and a gross leasable area of 3.77 million sq ft, The Dubai Mall will have over 1,200 stores of which nearly 165 retailers are either new to the region, or opening standalone or flagship stores for the first time in Dubai. Key opening day attractions include Dubai Aquarium & Discovery Centre, a world-class attraction revealing the marvels of the underwater world; the Olympic-size Dubai Ice Rink and the world's largest indoor Gold Souk."
"The Dubai Mall will also feature the Fashion Avenue, a spectacular global showcase of prestigious fashion labels from around the world; and The Grove, an outdoor-indoor retail and F&B streetscape with a fully retractable roof. The family entertainment options include KidZania, an 80,000 sq ft innovative children's 'edu-tainment' concept; SEGA Republic, an indoor theme park; and a 22-screen cineplex, the largest in Dubai," he concluded.
