Clio Renault F1 launched in the Kingdom

The sensational French F1 model comes with red Brembo four-piston brake callipers, striking yellow color and exclusive Renault F1 Team and world champion badging.

Also to be launched simultaneously in KSA is the Clio Renault Sport (RS) 197.

"Bringing the Clio Renault F1 Team and RS 197 was a limited edition thought-out decision. We wanted to maintain the uniqueness of this high performance and give owners that extra edge or prestige value of owning a car that is exclusive to only a select few,"

said Yousuf Khaja, Renault Franchise Manager at Zahid Tractor.

The Clio Renault Sport series were designed to mark Renault's back-to-back F1 constructor world championships and offers motor sport enthusiasts some pedigree of power.

Renault is synonymous with motor sport excellence owing to six world F1 team titles in the 90's and two constructor and driver titles in 2005 and 2006.

This excellence gave birth to the famous hot hatches such as the Renault Turbo 2, Clio Williams and the Clio Renault Sports series.

Continuing this trend are the new RS 197 and the Clio F1 Team R27.

Khaja added: "Renault is known worldwide and in the Middle East for its rich motor sport heritage and is considered as a manufacturer of the highest performance sport cars. Formula 1 and motorsports are growing in popularity across the Saudi Arabia especially with the emerging race circuits in Jeddah and Riyadh. It was therefore only natural to introduce the new sport series here."

The new yellow paint finish, red Brembo four-piston brake callipers at the front, Recaro seats and its exclusive Renault F1 Team and World Champion badging are the only differences that set the Clio F1 Team R27 apart from the RS 197.

Apart from the bright yellow paint finish which is exclusively for the R27 model, both cars will also be available in three metallic colors (Deep Black, Monako Blue and Makana Grey) and three non-metallic colors (Toro Red, White Glacier and Dynamo Blue).

They both deliver an output of 145 kW at 7,250rpm and go from zero to 100kph in just 6.9 seconds and take only 27.5 seconds to travel 1,000 meters from a standing start.

With a fuel consumption of 8.4 liters per 100 km (199g CO2/km), its combined cycle intake is one of the lowest among sports cars with an equivalent engine package.

Clio Renault F1 Team R27 benefits from BeBop 17'' Dark Anthracite wheels that provide more sensation and road-holding accuracy.

The numbered plate alongside the handbrake leaves no doubt about the Clio Renault F1 Team R27's unique sports car heritage.

"Reliability and robustness has been reinforced in each car offering optimum performance. zahid tractor along with Renault is also offering an extended warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometers," added Khaja.

"The warranty will be applicable to all Renault models demonstrating our confidence in the durability and quality of the new line-up."
