The CHF Charity Ball will raise funds for various charities that work for the well-being of underprivileged children.
Zenny Hirji, chairperson, CHF, said:
"The support from the local community and organisations to our Annual Charity Ball is overwhelming. It highlights the strong concern shared by the community at large of under-privileged children and their desire to be active participants in improving their lives."
She added:
"The support from InterContinental Dubai Festival City is invaluable for CHF in conducting the event. We are thankful to the management of the hotel for their support - an expression of true corporate social responsibility, and we look forward to hosting a successful event that will raise funds for charitable causes."
Tom Meyer, Area General Manager, InterContinental Dubai Festival City, said: "To host and support an event such as the upcoming Gala Dinner for CHF highlights the belief that the InterContinental Dubai Festival City has in making a difference for the local community. The ambition of the CHF to raise such amounts for deserving children's charities, locally in Dubai as well as internationally around the globe, is phenomenal."
He added: "It is a warming thought to imagine how many lives will be affected for the better thanks to the efforts of the charity and the guests of their gala dinner on November 6th. I believe that they are about to set a tremendous precedent for what a dedicated group of individuals really can achieve, and the generosity Dubai residents have for such a worthy cause."
CHF, established in the UK in 1997, opened its Dubai branch in 2000 under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Group.
With over twelve voluntary members on the core committee, CHF has, to date, raised funds for a variety of causes - from smaller individual projects like providing wheelchairs for children locally, to supporting schools and hospitals on an annual basis.
