The exhibition assumes importance as the event will be a confluence of the best of art from the subcontinent with particular focus on the cream of Omani talent.
Different Strokes opens on November 2 with a private showing by invitation at Shangri La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa.
On November 3 and 4, the artworks will be on display at BankMuscat Private Banking division premises for viewing by clients, staff and others interested in high quality art.
The exhibition timings are from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Hosted by Art Select, Different Strokes is an eclectic selection of grand art characterised by distinct Islamic motifs in calligraphic presentations, highlighting five Omani artists and their works in a special category.
Art Select is associated with hosting a variety of successful exhibitions in major art centres in the region.
Different Strokes will showcase the works of Omani artists - Moosa Omar, Enaam Ahmed Al Lawatya, Mohammed Mehdi Jawad and Nadia Al Bulushi - sharing space with renowned artists, including Ismail Gulgee, Paritosh Sen, Jamil Naqsh, Ahmed Khan, Shamshad Husain, Bijan Choudhury, Dr Alka Raghuvanshi, Sachindra Nath Jha, Manisha Gawade, Seemita Roy, Sumaira Issacs and Wahab Jaffer.

The Chief Executive added that he was very confident that the exhibition would encourage young artists in Oman to understand new trends in art and experiment themselves on a wider canvas to test their mettle.
