Oman Insurance Company promotes Abdul Muttalib as Chief Executive Officer

Mr Muttablib began his career with the Oman Insurance Company upon its establishment in 1975 and has most recently served as the company's General Manager, overseeing the launch of several new insurance products in the Middle East region.

He has also been responsible for the successful first phase implementation of the company's regional expansion plans, opening offices in Oman and Qatar.

Commenting on the appointment, H.E. Matar Humaid Al Tayer, Chariman of Oman Insurance Company, said that he expects Mr Muttablib will continue to work to raise the standards of insurance provision in the region.

"Mr Muttalib has a long and distinguished career with Oman Insurance Company and his in-depth market expertise and commitment to quality make him well equipped to achieve results in his new role. The Board of Directors is very pleased with Mr Muttalib's commitment to the financial success of the organisation through its commitment to serving customer needs," Mr Al Tayer said.

Oman Insurance Company enjoyed 2008 third quarter growth of 53% against the 2007 period with strong results across all fields. The company enjoys the rating of A (Excellent) from AM Best and A- from Standard & Poors.
