'Diwali', the Indian Festival of Lights at Doha Marriott's Taj Rasoi Restaurant, formally opened

Doha Marriott Hotel is pleased to announce the celebration of 'Diwali', the Festival of Lights.

There are numerous myths about how the festival originated, but all over the world 'Diwali' is celebrated as the 'Festival of Lights' with a great deal of joy and optimism, as it's a period that marks new beginnings. With Diwali, there are always fireworks associated with, and the day is celebrated with people lighting diyas and candles all around their house. Good food always adds up on happiness to share during this festival.

This Festival of Lights brings a sample of true Indian hospitality and its rich cultural heritage to Doha. The festival, taking place at Doha Marriott's Indian Restaurant 'Taj Rasoi' was ceremonial opened with the honor of the CEO of Doha Bank, Mr. R. Seetharaman, on Monday, October 27th.

The Indian Executive Sous Chef Ajay Pant invites all food lovers to experience a tasteful journey and to indulge in mouthwatering specialties from the Maharaja's country. In addition to the regular menu, a special set menu has been specially created by Chef Ajay, who believes in cooking with his heart as for him it is not just a job but a passion and he has dedicated his life to it.

Chef Ajay states:
"Every festival is there to create something different to satisfy the decadent taste buds. It is a great privilege to prepare all these festive specialties with our culinary team to surprise our guests every now and then with new delights, to make them fall in love with our cuisine again and again, after all what all we need is a reason to celebrate, come a join us in celebration of Diwali."
