While organizing the Turkish Food Festival and also actually cooking, the Turkish born Food & Beverage Manager Tuncay (Tony) Altuntas, invites everybody to experience a tasteful journey through the beautiful country of Turkey and to indulge in its traditional specialties.

Tony, who used to be Doha Marriott's Executive Chef for the last year and got promoted to Food & Beverage Manager in July, states: "Being from a Turkish family and growing up in Germany, one of my fondest memories is watching my mother cooking traditional Turkish food for the whole family and all our friends." He explains further: "Turkey is a country with a lot of special traditions, from Istanbul to Trabzon and from Hopa to Hakkari. There are dozens of different types of food and ways how to cook them, and we will present you a lot of these types to try something different."

Tony started to cook at the age of 16 and ever since all his cooking was very successful. Tony is now in charge of all Food & Beverage outlets at the Doha Marriott Hotel, while ensuring services and offers are matching the guests' expectations. And he is looking forward to arrange more different types of promotions and food festivals in future to create unique and memorable dining experiences.
