Mark showcased his extraordinary talents when he represented Al Bustan Rotana in the Sugar Pastry Showpiece and Salt Dough Cold Showpiece categories and won the gold medals for both, emerging triumphant among two hundred (200) other kitchen artists for each category.
He commented:
"All the other contestants were extremely talented and I really felt honored I won. It just proves that the kitchen artists of the Al Bustan Rotana are among the best in the world. This will not be possible without the support of the management as well as of Chocolate Island who assisted me in this competition and I am so grateful for this opportunity. The training in the hotel and in the UAE in general is of excellent quality and we should all be proud of the culinary talents we have in this country."
