  • PRESS RELEASE

Denton Wilde Sapte has hired partner Paul Davies to head its Real Estate practice in Dubai.

"Paul has a very broad experience of advising clients in the Middle East market. His core strengths in large real estate developments will be extremely useful to continue the growth of our practice, but he also has valuable experience of real estate finance and general corporate transactions, as well as a good working knowledge of UAE and Dubai law,"

says Middle East managing partner Neil Cuthbert.

Paul joins the firm from Clifford Chance, where he spent ten years working in the firm's London and Dubai offices, advising clients on large-scale leisure and residential developments in the Middle East.

"Paul will work alongside Construction specialist David Courtney-Hatcher to maintain the momentum of our Real Estate practice, which has grown considerably over the last couple of years. It is particularly pleasing to welcome Paul, as he worked for our Middle East legacy firm Fox and Gibbons from 1996-97, and through this hire has now come 'home'," adds Neil.

Recent Real Estate highlights for the office include advising on all contracts for the development of the Atlantis Resort including financing, construction and the provision of a road tunnel, monorail and utilities infrastructure and advising Starwood Hotels & Resorts on developments including the proposed St. Regis Resort on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi and the Westin Golf Resort, also in Abu Dhabi.
