The system, using ACCPAC eCRM, is what the authority considers a "systematic and sustainable approach to attract foreign direct investment," as explained by ASEZA's director for business development and marketing, Mr. Louay Khatib. He says:" The deployment of powerful technologies is part of the first phase of our development plan, aimed at ensuring a seamless and trouble free access to the authority workflow, procedures, information and staff, around the clock, and from anywhere around the world." He continues: "A technology infrastructure built with the customer focus at its heart is what we believe is our ticket to a successful business expansion."

The first phase of the development program of ASEZA is based on providing an infrastructure, advanced enough to compete with regional players and attract foreign capital into the Special Economic Zone area. "We have a great location and a very advanced transport infrastructure. Our next step is to develop the communication and customer support platform that supports current and future investors and ACCPAC eCRM allows us to achieve this objective." ASEZA enjoys a multi-modal transportation hub with Aqaba Port, Aqaba international airport, and transportation hub with a network of highways and roads connecting Aqaba to the rest of Jordan and neighbouring countries.

"The project is driven by a strong awareness and belief among decision makers at the authority that the right technology can be of great support to Jordan, especially if used to complement existing differentiators. We are very proud to be part of this project," said Ziad Rousan, Assistant General Manager at CATS.

The rollout, according to Marc Van der Ven, general manager for ACCPAC in the Middle East, stands proof of how technology can be deployed to realize ambitious plans for government and private sectors alike. He commented: "This is a new and unique differentiated approach taken by a government body towards servicing the public. Along with boosting its efficiency, ASEZA decided that delighting investors is a priority for the success of its plans. We are proud to be part of that program and we are working closely with our partners in Jordan to ensure the successful roll out of the application."
