Dow Chemical launches Oil & Gas Business

Dow Chemical India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA) GmbH today launched the Dow Oil & Gas business platform to the Middle East region at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC); one of the world's largest petroleum events.

This new business unit has been created to deliver innovative product, technology and service solutions to the oil and gas industry with a focus on the exploration and production, refining and gas processing and fuel transport market segments.

Dow has served the oil and gas industry for decades and this new business unit represents a realignment of the Company's capabilities to address the market more effectively; providing dedicated resources to work closer with customers to understand and deliver against their unique challenges and opportunities.

said Janet Giesselman, vice president and general manager of Dow Oil & Gas.

Dow Oil & Gas has commercial and technical specialists dedicated to the Middle East, who will be located in Egypt and at the Dow regional headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The international headquarters for the business unit will be based in Houston, Texas, USA.

Dow Oil & Gas will build upon the Company's proven line of gas treating products and technologies like SELEXOL™ and UCARSOL™ to more holistically address the needs of refinery and gas processing customers, including improved environmental performance. The business will also look to provide specialized technologies and chemical formulations for unconventional drilling conditions and fuel transport, such as high temperature and high pressure.
