Amadeus strengthens support to strategic agencies in the Middle East

Amadeus, a global leader in technology for the travel and tourism industry, today announced the appointment of Sunil Joseph as Regional Director, Multinational Customer Group, Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Joseph will lead the Amadeus' multinational and strategic travel agency segment in the region and will be responsible for customer acquisition, development, and retention in order to drive Amadeus' market share and growth.

Based in the Amadeus Middle East Regional Hub in Dubai, Joseph assumes his new role this month and will report to Fernando Cuesta, Executive Director, Amadeus, Middle East & Africa, and Albert Pozo, Director of Multinational Customer Group, Business Travel & Corporate Resellers, Amadeus.

Joseph started with Amadeus in Australia seven years ago as a Business Development Manager.

Based in Sydney, Australia, his most recent role was that of a Regional Director for Amadeus' Travel Services Business Group, Asia Pacific.

Responding to new trends and changes in the Middle East travel and tourism sector, Amadeus launched its ME Regional Hub in May 2008.

The hub, located in Dubai, extends reach and proximity to customers and enables Amadeus to cater to all levels of region-specific needs and support customers who require tailored solutions.

Currently Amadeus employs close to 450 people in the Middle East & Africa region.
