GCC media ad spend hits $3.7bn

Advertising spend in the GCC for the first half of 2008 totalled $3.7bn compared to just $733m for the entire Levant region. The boom is put down to the lucrative business environment and high consumer disposable income. Newspapers in the UAE accounted for $738m compared to $33m in Lebanon.
