al khaliji enters Doha security market 20 index and shares insights with investment audience in Abu Dhabi

al khaliji and 3 other companies entered the DSM 20 Index with effect from 1 January 2009. The index is used as a performance benchmark for stocks listed on the Doha Securities Market.

al khaliji also participated in the 2nd Annual HSBC MENA Investor Forum in Abu Dhabi on 29th and 30th of October 2008. Management from 40 leading listed companies across eight MENA countries took part in the HSBC-organised event, and gave equity presentations to 140 international investors, a clear indication of the growing interest in the region. al khaliji showcased and discussed its strategy, successes and key developments during meetings with financial and business analysts, hedge fund managers and investment advisors.

David Proctor, Chief Executive Officer of al khaliji, commented: "The inclusion of al khaliji in the DSM 20 Index reflects a variety of factors including the size of our market capitalisation and the number and value of shares traded.
