A no-holds-barred Q&A session was likewise integrated into the one-day activity, enabling participants to actively interact and exchange ideas with the high-profile speakers.

"We are honoured to have Sir Mark Allen and Consul-General Dileep Nair to be the main speakers of the latest session of the DG Majlis Program; their inputs and examples were highly informative and offered an insightful look into various successful corporate and government strategies and how they fit into Dubai's own system. Through these periodic sessions, the DG Majlis Program is gradually fulfilling its mission of honing the skills and expertise of participants to prepare them for the various challenges faced by UAE Government officials,"
said Adel Al Shared, Manager of MBRPLD.

Mr. Hussein Lootah, Acting Director, Dubai Municipality, said:
"Gaining knowledge and learning from the experiences of internationally-renowned personalities is key to becoming a successful and ambitious leader, and MBRPLD helps us in achieving this by hosting famous speakers who have made a name for themselves in politics or business on a global scale. Participating in discussions like these help us better identify the indicators of institutional functions while being able to measure its impact with a clearer perspective. Just like the previous sessions and the sessions that we look forward to attend, the discussions with Sir Mark Allen and Consul-General Dileep Nair were very enriching and intellectually stimulating for all DG Majlis Program participants."

Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD):
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development (MBRPLD) is an innovative leadership program designed to develop future national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of the United Arab Emirates. The long-term training program, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, consists of four programs: Young Leaders, Promising Leaders, Government Leaders, and the Director General Majlis Program.

The MBRPLD strategy, which involves scouting the country for the most promising young nationals and preparing them to take charge of the UAE's future development initiatives, has been widely recognized for its critical role in the professional development of current government leaders. The program has recently been bolstered by alliances with world-class institutions Duke Corporate Education and INSEAD, the business school of the world, in a move to further develop MBRPLD's comprehensive training schedule and expand its educational resources.

The program was launched in 2003 according to a long-term multi-tiered plan to ensure the ongoing development of leaders in all governmental institutions; to ensure the development of leaders with world-class skills and expertise; to increase the ability to retain highly qualified employees; and to make good use of the experience and potential of current leaders.
