The roadshow will cover Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE. The tour comes close on the heels of the delegation's visit to the US where cooperation opportunities were discussed with 10 leading universities to enhance educational opportunities in the Arab world through capacity building, education and training.

Led by Mustafa Al Ansari, Vice President for Operations, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, the delegation to the US also met with recipients of the Fellows Programme pursuing MBA courses at Stanford, Wharton, Columbia and New York universities.

Al Ansari said:
"Our interaction with the students gave us an opportunity to gain their feedback on the experience. We have encouraged them to broaden their horizons by taking advantage of opportunities to learn about international markets. Some have committed to global exploration trips organized by their universities to China, India and South Africa. Others will organize career treks to different regions in the Arab world."

Over 50 Arab nationals have received Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Fellowships to pursue Masters degrees at leading universities in North America and Europe. "We believe this will help develop a new generation of young leaders and create a knowledge-based society which will contribute to the economic development of the Arab region, once Fellows join the workforce upon completion of Masters Courses." Mr. Al Ansari said.."

Highlighting the significance of the visit, Abdullah Assal, an Egyptian Fellow at Stanford University, said: "The delegation's visit to the US underlines the Foundation's dedication to development in the Arab world. We appreciate the unlimited support we receive from the Foundation that makes us additionally responsible to contribute to the Arab world's development."
Launched last April, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Pioneers Programme extends the necessary financial support to talented Arab youth seeking to acquire a Master's degree at leading universities in the Arab world.

Through the Fellows Programme, launched last year, the Foundation has opened new horizons for aspiring Arab students to obtain postgraduate degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy (MPP) and Finance from top tier international universities.

Commenting on the roadshow that will tour various parts of the Arab world, Al Ansari said:
"The Foundation is very keen on interpreting the futuristic vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum into tangible achievements. One of our optimum objectives is to generate new young leaders and create a knowledge-based society by elevating research and knowledge creation. This tour reflects the Foundation's unfaltering determination to reinforce the knowledge capabilities across the Arab World as a key prerequisite for overall economic, social and cultural development."

Through its partnerships with leading regional and international universities, the Foundation aims to create a pool of talented and knowledgeable young leaders who can efficiently steer development efforts in the region.
