Al Elm to discuss "Shift to e-government Engineering" in 19th Computer Conference

Al Elm Company has expressed its delight and pride for sponsoring the 19th National Computer Conference and the annual meeting of the directors of Information Technology which are being held under the patronage of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General from November 3 to 5.

The remark was made by Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Omeir, the Marketing Director of the company which is owned by the Public Investment Fund and specialized in providing of secured electronic solutions services.

In a press release, Al Omeir said:
"While we are pleased for presenting a working paper on our experience in electronic-business and for sponsoring this conference, we emphasize the permanent keenness of our company to introduce secured electronic solutions that allow exchange of transactions with ease."


Al Omeir added, "It is also an honor for us to contribute to the activities of the conference and the exhibition within the framework of our permanent keenness to sponsor the activities that contribute to creating awareness on the digital economy and the ICT industry."

He said, "The sponsorship of Al Elm Company to this event under the title 'Digital Economy and Information Technology and Telecommunications Industry" comes in line with the company's recognition of the importance of supporting such major events, specially because they deal with important technical issues in a period when the national economy is witnessing significant growth in various sectors."

"We are proud to be a national company open to the local market and gives the public and private sectors a main access to a secured electronic community in our capacity as one of the most prominent companies specialized in secured electronic solutions," he added.

Stressing the importance of electronic services, Al Omair said, "It is necessary to use all electronic services available to develop the capacity of leaders and managers and to increase the electronic awareness among members of the community to become an electronic community."

"If transactions are done electronically, many advantages can be gained, including saving of time, effort and money," he added.

He underlined the significance of this conference, which he described as contributing to the spread of technical uses, and said, "This is in consistent with the message of the Kingdom's government to spread digital e-awareness by providing better services, as well as improving the access to these services."

Al Omair expressed his belief that the sponsorship of the 19th National Computer Conference would provide broad prospects for the company officials to exchange experiences and views with a lot of professionals, experts and officials participating in the conference.

As for the timing of the conference, he said, "The holding of this conference comes at a crucial time in which the whole world is heading towards a new economic stage with different strategy and challenges which prompt us to share our experiences to support the Government's plans for implementation of an e-government to boost the economy."

A number of specialists on information technology and communications from the public and private sectors will deliver lectures in the conference, organized by the Saudi Computer Society. They will discuss many important topics such as programming technology and electronic data exchange. While Al Elm Company will present a working paper entitled 'Shift to the e-government Engineering - an electronic exit and re-entry visa as an example'. The paper will be delivered by Dr. Khaled Bin Abdulaziz Al-Ghoneim, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

He will focus on what was achieved for the implementation of the first integrated service which fulfills all the conditions of e-government in Saudi Arabia.

The paper will also deals with the complementary partnership between government and private sectors in e-government projects in addition to the great difference between the actions of traditional and electronic procedures of exit re-entry visas as well as secrets of success in e-business sector.

An exhibition will be held on the sidelines of the 19th National Computer Conference in which Al Elm Company will participate with several services, including Muqeem, Yakeen, Ish'aar and e-Gate to promote the success of electronic business.
