Peugeot's sales success arrives in Bahrain

Mr. Ali Mohamed Taqi Ali took delivery of the very first Peugeot 206 Coupe Cabriolet which was one of a consignment of 12 such cars ordered at the end of last year by Mohammed Jalal & Sons, Automotive Division all of which sold out before they even arrived.
The Cabriolet 206 cc reflects a new automotive concept from Peugeot and features a rigid sound proof top, which folds away automatically into the boot at the touch of a button making the car a top seller in Europe and creating a great deal of interest here.
Mr. John Murray, General Manager of MJS commented, "We are all thrilled with the excitement that little car has caused and the demand which it has created. Peugeot has really made its mark in Europe for being affordable and value for money, and now it is proving to be creative in design with this very popular convertible. "
The Peugeot 206 was voted Middle East car of the year in 2001, which was followed by the Peugeot 307 which was awarded European car of the year 2002. It will be interesting to see what the 2003 awards bring.
The automotive division of Mohammed Jalal and Sons was established in 1964 and holds the franchise for Jaguar, Peugeot, Suzuki and Subaru. The company has a full service department and body shop for all brands of vehicles and a comprehensive spare parts division located in Al Khamis.
