Bharti Telesoft powers VAS solutions for MTN Group

Bharti Telesoft, the leading provider of integrated VAS solutions for mobile operators in emerging markets, today announced its alliance with the MTN Group, a major provider of mobile services across Africa and the Middle East, to deliver Multimedia Messaging Center (MMSC), Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Gateway solutions for all 21 MTN Operations.

Listed in South Africa, the MTN Group is a multinational telecommunications group, reaching more than 500 million people and with more than 74.1 million subscribers at 30 June 2008 across its operations.

As a part of the deal Bharti Telesoft will be providing SMSC, including its SMS Router and mGateway solutions, as well as MMSC and WAP Gateway solutions - solutions that Bharti Telesoft gained via its acquisition of Jataayu Software.

Announcing this deal, Sai Prabhu, VP Key Accounts, Africa, Bharti Telesoft said,
