The campaign that will run for around two months will aim at generating funds from the sales of the special WCD wristband for only AED 4 at all McDonald's restaurants for the benefit of Dubai Autism Center.

Commenting on the launch of the campaign, Rafic Fakih, Managing Director, McDonald's UAE said:

"We are very glad to launch our annual World Children's Day campaign for the 7th year in a row. This humanitarian occasion falls at the core of our commitment to our children in the Emirates and the initiatives we adopt to support them. The campaign has shown great success over the past years and helped us to support hundreds of children in several charity organizations."

Aiming to spread awareness about the campaign and to attract more people to buy the WCD wristband, McDonald's UAE will launch a heavy media campaign in the Emirates supported by leaflets at the restaurant level, featuring information about Autism, a brief history about Dubai Autism Center and the campaign objectives.

"We hope that this year will add up to the success of previous WCD campaigns and will achieve the sought benefits for Dubai Autism Center," Mr. Fakih added.

As this year's beneficiary, Dubai Autism Center will be receiving all the funds generated until the end of the campaign during the final celebration at its premises.
