Thuraya, Quicklink provide unique video streaming service

Thuraya, the mobile satellite operator, is partnering with Quicklink to facilitate the transmission and delivery of extremely low latency, real-time broadcast video to users of the ThurayaIP service.

Quicklink is a UK-based solutions provider that caters to the media segment. Their video solutions offer ThurayaIP users a compact and reliable method for plug-and-play video transmissions in regions with poor or non-existent telecom networks.

The combination of Quicklink video solutions with ThurayaIP broadband capabilities gives the users reliable access to Streaming IP services up to 384 Kbps. This solution for the media and the government segment is currently the only one of its kind in the world to support the video streaming bandwidth of 384 Kbps.
