Studying opportunities at American universities

"The event is a way of community service to the public. It is offering a well needed service at a time when many students are travelling abroad to complete their studies. The briefing from the US embassy representative is explaining visa issues and information that would aid the students in the formalities in the process of applying for a university abroad; US specifically."

said Mrs. Abeer Barr, the Manager of Enhancement Centres at Effat College.

"I think the strength of the program came from the variety of colleges and universities who were present for the event and the number of students who attended", added Mrs. Barr.

Among participating universities, there were a good number of renowned universities like, Arizona State University, Emporia State University, Florida Institute of Technology, George Mason University - RAK, Hawaii Prepatory Academy Campus, and Iowa State University.

There were also some representatives from the US Consulate and the US Embassy.

The US fair is one of the events that are run by the Career Development Office at Effat College to introduce to the International Educational sector the college where different countries are chosen every year to familiarize students with its educational areas.

Out of excitement, one of Effat College's student said, "The College is offering us an effective link to career opportunities and post graduate choices which is really wonderful".

Another visitor added, "This Fair makes the long journey short. To collect the information that I need would have taken more than a month, but attending this Educational show brought all answers into one plate".
