The largest marine industry exhibition in the Middle East, which has been gaining increased international recognition, is solely organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre, and will be held from March 19-22, 2003, at the waterfront of the
exclusive Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club Marina. The venue increases DIBS's attractiveness as a prime location and an ideal platform to expand businesses in a lucrative marine industry. The event is stimulating growth in related activities of the industry, and the expanding network of superb marinas and watersports clubs continues to fuel the region's marine sector.
Several leading Italian boat companies will be participating at this year's Boat Show, with more to confirm participation. 'The Italian Leisure marine industry is the second biggest in the world, with Italian pavilions continuing to be the biggest at the exhibitions. They have supported the DIBS since its inception in the early 90s, and we anticipate they will
continue to do so for a long time,' said Shoaib Rahimi, International Project Manager of DIBS.
Gulf Yachting of Dubai, one of the key players in the region's marine industry and the official distributor in the GCC and Egypt for a host of Italian brand names, are expanding the range of Italian options available in the region, including Azimut Yachts, AB Yachts and Ilver motorboats.
Italian exhibitors are looking forward to showcasing their latest products in a region known for its expanding marina network. Gianni Zucco, the managing director of Italian company HP High Pressure SRL is looking forward to another successful participation at DIBS 2003. Other Italian companies share Zucco's enthusiasm , with plans to expand their businesses in the Gulf through the Middle East. Irene Liadelli, the export manager for Osculti SPA, who have been participating for 8 years claims, 'we are looking forward to our participation once again at DIBS, and are anticipating to broaden our customer base.'
In addition to the pleasure and leisure boats, luxury yachts, commercial boats, marina and electronic marine equipment that will be showcased at the exhibition, Italian exhibitors will be displaying an extensive range of
products from throughout the marine industry. Some of these products include naval lights, electronic boating equipment, life jackets, anchors, steering systems, steering wheels, engine control systems, water pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic gangways and ladders.
