Effat College symposium inaugurates the academic program of King Faisal Exhibition

In the occasion of King Faisal Exhibition "Shahid wa Shaheed" that occurs in Jeddah as the third station after Riyadh and Abha, Effat College, as being part of King Faisal Foundation, is holding "Al-Faisal: the Enduring Legacy" symposium as the official launce of the academic program of the exhibition.

The symposium will be held under the patronage of HRH Pincess Lowlwa Al-Faisal, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and General Supervisor of Effat College, on Monday October 13th 2008. The opening Ceremony of the exhibition took place on last Friday under the patronage of HRH Khalid Al-Faisal, Makkah Region Governor, at Jeddah International Exhibition Centre.

Effat symposium will feature Dr. Joseph Kechichian as the keynote speaker. Dr. Kechichian is a renowned historian and researcher who cjose Effat Event to feature the signage of his latest book on King Faisal entitle "Faysal Saudi Arabia's King for All Seasons". The event will also highlight the contribution of King Faisal to our current age through a panel discussion entitled "Al-Faisal: the Enduring Legacy". The panellists, his Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdu Yamani, Dr. Nadia Baeshin, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Abu Dawood, and Ms. Maha Fetaihi, will tackle different subthemes like what the king presented to his people and Arabic and Islamic nation, King Faisal as the man of all situations and women during the time of Al-Faisal. The moderator of the discussion is Mr. Hussien Shobokshi, the media personality who had shows on MBC and ALARABIYA TV, and the Mistress of the Ceremony is Ms. Moan Seraj the well known TV presenter.
