- PRESS RELEASE
Canon Middle East, one of the world's leading innovators of imaging products and solutions, has extended its distributorship of product groups for Salam Studio & Stores. As well as Canon photo and video products, Salam Studio & Stores will now carry the Canon range of Office Personal Products.
"Canon has a very strong printer line-up in terms of technology, performance and range and is one of the key players in the printing industry. The laser category is a fiercely competitive segment and one which we are confident has the potential for significant growth. Canon's new i-SENSYS laser range reveals a totally new and expanded colour multi function line-up and a full range of mono MFPs which will strengthen Canon's position in this segment," said Bittu Mattam, Product Manager, Canon Middle East.
In addition to the i-SENSYS models, the new Pixma range builds on the lab quality photo printing legacy established by the brand with several new features including the introduction of a Wi-Fi model. While Canon's three new entry level scanners boast higher scanning resolutions and faster scan speeds as low as 11 seconds.
"Over the years our partnership with Salam Studio & Stores has laid a solid foundation in developing strong retail channels for our photo and video segment. We see an excellent opportunity for the transfer of this knowledge to our OPP line-up in Qatar enabling Salam Studio & Stores to offer customers a complete Canon imaging solution," said Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, Sales Manager GCC, Canon Consumer Imaging, Canon Middle East.
Salam Technical will continue in its role as Canon partner for direct and corporate sales of professional print products and solutions.
The announcement of the new product line-up and the appointment of Salam Studio & Stores as OPP distributor was made at the Canon Middle East Office Personal Products (OPP) seminar for tier one and tier two channel partners, held at Ramada Hotel, Doha, Qatar on 4th November.
The OPP seminar is the latest in a series of channel events organised by Canon Middle East and provides its partners with insight into the new Canon line-up and forthcoming strategies relating to the new products, development of channels and marketing initiatives in the region as well as product training. The seminar is designed to further improve Canon's relationship with its channel partners by providing a greater understanding of the OPP product range and receiving valuable feedback from partners.
