Touch of Italy at Crowne Plaza Muscat

The Intimate Italian promotion, run in collaboration with the Italian Embassy, will allow diners to experience a wealth of genuine contemporary Italian cuisine.

Resident Italian Chef Manuelo Pintore will be joined by Italian Master Chef Massimo Basso to provide a unique dining experience for lovers of Italian food. Held at the Come Prima restaurant, guests will enjoy the sea breeze and the breath-taking view along with their stylishly-prepared and mouth-watering Italian cuisine.

The festival was inaugurated by the Italian Ambassador to Oman, H.E. Cesare Capitani, who said:

"Over the years, consumers around the globe have come to recognize that 'Made in Italy' represents style, creativity, innovation and quality, reflecting the special characteristics of Italy and Italian cuisine and lifestyle, which are appreciated in Oman too. The Crowne Plaza Muscat has recreated a stylish yet comfortable and intimate Italian atmosphere."

Diners at Come Prima will be treated to starters, or antipasti, that include red snapper carpaccio, and salmon and avocado panzanella - a local variation on the classic bruschetta. The impressive list of main courses features dishes such as risotto with pumpkin, porcini mushroom and truffle, and roasted duck breast with spiced honey and potato pie. These and many more regional specialities appear on the menu, which has been carefully crafted by Chefs Manuelo and Massimo, both of whom are passionate about the cuisine of their country. "Our guests are true food-lovers, who seek out new and exciting flavours," said Chef Manuelo, "Throughout the Intimate Italian festival we will share Italy's culinary traditions with our guests at Come Prima, while delighting them with our modern take on Italian favourites."

Intimate Italian takes place at the Come Prima restaurant from 6th - 13th November. Guests can enjoy dinner from 19:00hrs every evening, and reservations are highly recommended.
