Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation sponsors Arab Creativity Award Ceremony

The Arab Creativity Award was launched by the Arab Thought Foundation as an embodiment of one of the Foundation's most important strategic goals which is honoring the Arab nation's pioneers and innovators who contributed to its renaissance in all fields of knowledge and science.

In this context, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Secretary General of Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation, stated:

"By sponsoring the award, the Foundation is reflecting some of its basic principals represented in the necessity of sparking the Arab individual's creative skills in all domains."

He also noted that spreading the culture of creativity in the Arab world provides a needed environment that encourages charitable activities in particular, and initiates the collaborative spirit of social work in general.

His Royal Highness continued by saying that "Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation, which is the major sponsor of Arab Creativity Award in Fikr7, is deeply interested in the Award that is considered one of the most important programs of the Arab Thought Foundation."

He also indicated that FIKR7 Conference - organized under the patronage of His Excellency President Mohammad Hosni Mubarak, - is an important event in the midst of current Arab affairs, insisting that this helps in developing the Arab nation and pointing out that Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation considers honoring the Arab world's innovators and talented youth one of the important steps towards activating societal contributions and work as well as promoting charitable works.

His Royal Highness added that "FIKR7 Agenda reflects great concern with the future of the Arab nation, and that the Conference is considered a clear message to leading experts in thought, opinion and civil society reflecting clear vision and interest in the future of the nation, well as an awareness to what the nation possesses in terms of elements of prosperity and development, emphasizing the importance of investing culture in the frame of the development process in the Arab world."

His Royal Highness noted that the invaluable role performed by Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation is regarded as one of the most striking examples of institutional work in the field of enhancing living conditions and developing all aspects of life for people in the Arab world.

His Highness reiterated that the Foundation's patronage for the Award, as a major sponsor, reflects His Highness the Crown Prince's directions regarding the expansion of Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud Foundation's cultural and social roles, pointing out to the complementarity of these roles and the correlation of their interaction and impact on promoting the Arab citizen's life.

The Arab Creativity Award is given in fields of scientific creativity, technology creativity, literary creativity, artistic creativity, economic creativity, social creativity as well as media creativity. The winner of each award receives a financial award of $50,000 along with the award, Medal of Honor and certificate.
