Visitors to Ajman City Centre were urged to donate Dhs10 at a special donation box for the DAC, and enter a draw to win themselves the chance to perform the Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina in April next year.
Jassim Al Khaja, General Manager at Ajman City Centre, said:
"We received a very positive response for this initiative from our customers. Visiting the Holy cities of Mecca and Madina to performing perform is always a dream for every Muslim and we are very happy to make this happen for some of our customers."
On selecting DAC as the Ajman City Centre beneficiary, Al Khaja added: "Autism is affecting an increasing number of children in the UAE and we wanted to raise awareness about it among our visitors. During one of our visits to DAC, we got a chance to see at close quarters the excellent work the team there is putting in to encourage autistic children. We are very glad to have been able to raise some money that will be used for such a good cause."
