Batelco launches new O-net Mobile Broadband device

Batelco is the first telecommunications company in the GCC to launch the new O-net Mobile Broadband device, the smallest, sleekest, lightest and most technologically advanced Mobile Broadband USB modem in the world.

Batelco Media and Government Relations General Manager, Ahmed Al Janahi, said:
"The new O-net Mobile Broadband device is a proof that 'Great things come in small packages'."


"The new O-net device enables customers to browse the Internet, send and receive SMS, chat using existing instant messaging service and access business applications, all from the convenience of a laptop or PC, anywhere and anytime. Large volumes of data such as large e-mail attachments can now be downloaded faster than ever before," he added.

"Additionally, the device also uses an external memory slot that can be used as flash so users can store up to 8GB of documents which is a fantastic added convenience. The external memory cards are available separately," added Mr. Al Janahi.

Batelco launched O-net Mobile Broadband, the fastest and best HSDPA service in Bahrain in January of this year. Batelco O-net Mobile Broadband speed is up to 14.4 mpbs in some hot spots.

Customers may purchase the new O-net device and plug it into their PC's or laptops to access the internet faster than ever before. The simple plug and browse device delivers mobility with the fastest Mobile Broadband speed in the Kingdom.

A variety of prepaid and postpaid packages are available for O-net Mobile Broadband. Postpaid O-net packages includes the following:
• BD10 - 1GB download capacity and 45 free SMS monthly
• BD14 - 4GB download capacity and 45 free SMS monthly
• BD29 - 10GB download capacity and 75 free SMS monthly

The new O-net Mobile Broadband device is also available on a 12-months installments plan at BD6.5 per month.
