Marcel Khalifeh to perform at The American University in Dubai

After his prolonged absence from the Gulf and the Middle East region, the renowned Lebanese Singer Marcel Khalifeh is back to Dubai in a fundraising concert organized by The Palestinian Arab Cultural Club (PCC) at The American University in Dubai (AUD).

The concert is scheduled to take place this Saturday, November 8, 2008 in the AUD Auditorium, at 8:30p.m.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF).

Authentic music lovers will undoubtedly be enchanted by the singer's earlier national and emotional songs that are thematic to the prolific human and sentimental messages sent across in his concerts.

The concert will feature an ensemble of selected poems by the late Palestinian legendary poet Mahmoud Darwish.

Such poems, combined with Khalifeh's artwork of musical conduction, aim at redefining the concept of the Arabic song to advance the culture of the society in which it prevails.
