A specially-created mobile health check unit was located at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai during the event which was created and organized by The Estee Lauder Companies and mapochette.com.

The health check unit offered health assessments, including cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and Body Mass Index tests, to those attending the event. The tests were conducted by a team of pharmacists from the renowned Life Pharmacy followed by free of charge consultations by doctors from Health Call clinic located at Dubai Healthcare City, to help spot early warning signs of heart problems and diabetes, which are prevalent in the region. In four hours the doctors and pharmacists ran more than 120 tests.

The initiative reflects Philips' focus on health management outside the hospital, empowering people to take better care of their health. It also highlights the company's commitment to improving patient care at every stage including helping diagnose health problems early to prevent future disease.

Louis Hakim, Vice President Royal Philips Electronics and Chief Executive Officer of Philips Middle East, said: "prevention before cure is the key to a healthy society, therefore our objective along with Dubai Healthcare city, is to promote and increase awareness of prevention care using the health check booth which is planned to tour around Dubai."
