Sovereign Business Integration appoints new director for the Gulf region

Sovereign Business Integration, the Professional Services and IT Solutions specialist, has announced the appointment of Michael Williams to the Group Board to advise on the company's rapidly expanding business opportunities in the Gulf.

Williams has worked within the financial banking sector for over 30 years, and brings nearly nine years experience of working in the Middle East having been Chief Executive of two major banks in the region.

Prior to working in the Middle East, Williams was the Managing Director of Nomura Bank International Plc, in London.

Michael's previous job roles include a number of senior positions within the Barclays Bank Group, including Managing Director of Barclays Global Services, London and Corporate Banking Director at Barclays Bank PLC, Large Corporate Division, where he was global head of shipping finance.

Commenting on his new role at Sovereign, Williams said "My extensive experience of working within the Middle East means that I can help Sovereign build on their strong foundations in the region to provide much needed IT capability across a number of sectors which are key to the region's development."
