Commenting on Kiwiplan's upcoming participation in Gulf Pack 2009, Stefan Nedbal, Managing Director of Kiwiplan, said that the company is planning to expand its presence across the region.

"The Middle East will form a significant part of our operations over the next decade as the growth of the industrial and food processing sectors triggers demand for the packaging industry that we serve."
he said.

"For this reason, Gulf Pack is an extremely important event for us to attend as it gives us direct access to this very important marketplace."

Kiwiplan supplies enterprise-wide, fully integrated and web enabled systems specifically designed for supply chain management, sales order management, scheduling and planning, manufacturing and inventory control for box plants, sheet feeders and folding carton plants. Kiwiplan's Total Solution is comprised of Enterprise Sales Processing (ESP), Corrugator Scheduling (CSC) and the Production Control System (PCS).

Kiwiplan currently operates 5 offices servicing over 500 customers worldwide.

The company has a number of significant customers in the region, including industry stalwart Arabian Packaging.

Plans for a Middle East support centre are currently being considered to supplement the work of Kiwiplan's agent in the region.

Kiwiplan representatives at Gulf Pack will be meeting with customers, providing demonstrations of their software to prospective users and providing product training on their software solutions.

"Gulf Pack is the only packaging event designed to cover the entire Middle East region and it attracts a range of businesses from across the Middle East involved in the sector. This is not limited to packaging manufacturers but also includes businesses such as Kiwiplan that directly support the sector." Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director, Fairs & Exhibitions, said.

Gulf Pack is running in conjunction with Gulf Print at the Dubai Airport Expo centre from April 6 - 9 2009.

The event will also feature the Label Summit Middle East and the Thought Leadership Conference featuring globally recognised experts in the packaging and printing industries.
