  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, November 09 - 2008 at 13:29
  • PRESS RELEASE

The façade of Emirates Financial Towers, where construction work has progressed to the 15th floor, is being transformed by Arabian Aluminum Co. LCC (part of Al Ghurair Construction Industries), who has started installing glass fronts on the identical towers at Dubai International Financial Center.

The company started the installation work at second floor level, and will continue to install 5000 units to cover the 26 floors of both towers.

Aluminum units were chosen according to the Unitized System, with its high thermal and sonic isolation characteristics.

Segments of the system were designed specifically to fit the nature and the design of the project, and these segments passed various high quality checks successfully.

The system is the same one used by Arabian Aluminum on Burj Dubai.

The glass fronts used were designed to deliver precise installation and to ensure high quality standards.

Installation work for the entire project is expected to be complete during the first half of 2009, with work progressing on schedule.

On the commencement of the installation, Dr. Hani Abu Auida, Emirates Financial Towers Company CEO and Moafaq Al Gaddah Group's (MAG) Primary Vice Chairman, said:
"The beginning of the installation process is a very important move to us from all perspectives: First, the process is based upon the highest quality standards, in line with the concept of the project. Secondly, it is progressing on schedule while thirdly, the glass fronts are designed according to Dubai's sustainability standards, which were a goal for us from the start. Finally, with the installation work progressing, the tower begins to take shape, with the reinforcement structure gradually garnering splendor and beauty."

On the other hand, Mr. Bashar Kayali, Arabian Aluminum co General Manager, said: "We are very happy with the start of the installation on the towers as scheduled; this will guarantee that our plans for the project are executed smoothly to deliver the project with high quality and precision."

With construction work reaching the 15th floor, all work is progressing well at Emirates Financial Towers.

With a construction cost of Dhs600m, the project consists of 2 identical towers, each of which consist of 26 floors housing commercial offices, residential units and shops, in addition to various facilities and amenities.

Mag Robotic Systems (MRS) has also begun work to develop an advanced mechanical automated system for parking in the towers and buildings.

Arabian Aluminum Co. LLC, part of Al Ghurair Construction Industries, is a leading company in glass fronts installation, and has an impressive portfolio of projects in the UAE and neighboring countries.

These include: Burj Dubai, Al Salam Tower, Al Ghurair City 2, Conrad Hotel, Churchill Towers, Park Towers and more.
