Hassan Jaboub appointed Mall Manager for Qurum City Centre

Jaboub and his team have worked hard for the past fifteen months to manage the soft opening of the mall successfully last week, and they are ready for the official opening later this month. The designated team in place signals the commitment from Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls to assign a dedicated management team, which will initiate measures to build close customer and tenant relationships at the newly opened mall.

Ibrahim Al Qasmi, General Manager of Muscat City Centre and spokesperson for Qurum City Centre said:

"Hassan Jaboub, a young Omani national with proven expertise in mall management, reiterates our commitment to the Omanisation initiative. Hassan has adapted well to his new challenge and fits the profile perfectly as he has a broad and experienced background in mall management. He proved himself to be an invaluable part of the management team as Deputy General Manager at Muscat City Centre, and I am sure he will take pride in his new assignment at Qurum City Centre."

Jaboub's arrival at Oman's top shopping destination, comes after three years on the management team at Muscat City Centre. He started his work as Marketing Manager and then became Deputy General Manager at Muscat City Centre. There he has been responsible for enhancing the mall value, and establishing effective relations with business partners as well as implementing marketing and management plans.

Sharing his plans for the future of Qurum City Centre, Jaboub said: "I am very proud to be managing this enterprise. The building of the Qurum City Centre mall has been made possible by the support we have received from various government bodies, our contractors, and our local customers who continue to visit us. My main aim will be to ensure that Qurum City Centre provides a unique customer experience to every visitor. In addition to the great mix of outlets we already have here at the mall, we hope to provide a friendly atmosphere where shopping is an enjoyable experience for the whole family."

Prior to joining the Majid Al Futtaim family, Jaboub spent over nine years in varied fields such as finance, sales, leasing, and marketing. His past experience with different large organisations and his job rotation in many different areas around the Sultanate, has helped him gain first hand experience of what the residents of Oman really want.

A marketing graduate from Sultan Qaboos University, Hassan Jaboub is also a Certified Shopping Centre Manager (CSM) from the prestigious International Council of Shopping Centre (ICSC) based in New York. Jaboub is raring to go and looking forward to making his mark in the retail industry in Oman.
