Palm Deira work on-going, claims Nakheel

Nakheel moved to deny rumours that it was shelving its Palm Deira island, taking journalists on-site to see work in progress today. Abdullah Bin Sulayem, Nakheel COO, said the company was not changing the design or reducing the island's size. But he did say Nakheel was changing its approach to the island, so that reclamation and build work could be completed in phases, allowing people to move into selected areas quicker.
