Ducab announces rise in their share of the oil and gas market

Ducab, the leading manufacturer of high quality power cables in the Middle East, who were an exhibitor at the ADIPEC 2008 last week, have announced that their share of the oil and gas market is rising.

With just over 1000 employees and three main factories, two in Abu Dhabi and one in Jebel Ali, the UAE cable company currently manufactures oil and gas speciality cables.

With adequate facilities and capacity to meet the demands of the industry, Ducab is expected to have increased its capacity five times by 2009 with a special emphasis on the oil and gas industry.

Mr. Andrew Shaw, Ducab's MD who attended Day 3 of ADIPEC, said:
"In percentage terms, the oil and gas industry represents our biggest increase. As the 2nd largest oil and gas exhibition in the world, taking part in ADIPEC 2008 was essential for us."


By 2009, Ducab is predicting an Dhs500m sales in the oil and gas industry. As one of the UAE's oldest cable manufacturing facilities, Ducab is rapidly expanding its products and services in the region and throughout the GCC and are working towards obtaining a bigger share of business from the oil and gas market.
