The 'Powwer Bhangra' session was conducted by the founder of this dance-cum-exercise, Ms. Ahlaam Ali. More than 50 resident families of The Palladium & Belvedere chose to 'dancercise' to hit Punjabi numbers.

The event was organised as part of ETA Star's initiatives to foster and build better communities at its developments.

Commenting on the community initiatives undertaken, Mr. Abid Junaid, Executive Director, ETA Star, said:
"The residents at our communities are an extension of the ETA Star family. It is our endeavor to ensure that the residents at our developments continue to enjoy the lifestyle that was promised to them before they moved in. Such events help us to further strengthen our relationship with the residents, who are the best ambassadors of our brand."

The highlight of the event was announcing the best male and female participant, chosen by Ms. Ahlaam Ali on criteria such as persistence & enthusiasm. Each of the winner's was given couple Gold tickets to the Cinestar cinemas. Many of the participants have signed up for the regular 'Powwer Bhangra' classes, to be held at The Palladium.

Mr. Kirti Daga, a resident of The Palladium, "The 'Powwer Bhangra' session was a fun way of de-stressing. Such community events also bring together the residents of the development, which is otherwise uncommon here. We are pleased that ETA Star has taken the initiative to organize such events and look forward to many more in the future too."

'Powwer Bhangra' consists of a vigorous aerobic workout whilst incorporating moves from the Bhangra genre of dancing. The 'dancercise' sessions are designed to be part choreographed and part freestyle dancing.

The sessions began with a warm up followed by rigorous spot exercises, leading into learning a few basic moves. The Bhangra session then kicks in to the latest funky Punjabi music for 30 minutes. The last 10 minutes consist of Dhamal (Freestyle dancing) -- usually to a live Dhol (Drum) rounded off with a relaxing cooling off session.

The Palladium, located at the heart of the Jumeirah Lakes Towers, is a distinctive lifestyle project designed to provide charm and sophistication. The Palladium is an ultra modern high-rise apartment complex, 34-storey high and spans over half a million square feet of built-up area.

As part of its community initiatives, ETA Star has also conducted sessions of Art of Living at some of its developments.
