The new schedule provides customers with stronger flight connectivity in the United States and beyond, with passengers from Amman's Queen Alia International Airport having the opportunity to connect to over 40 destinations within the United States, Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean via New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Manoj Kuriakose, Delta's commercial manager for the Middle East, commented,
"We are extremely pleased with the performance of the Amman to New York route and the new flight schedule will ensure that customers have increased choice and flexibility when connecting through New York-JFK to the wide range of onward destinations that Delta offers. So far the top U.S. destinations for our Jordan customers include Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta and Detroit. "

To ensure consistently high levels of customer service, Delta has also amended the check-in time for this flight.

Delta now requires all customers checking-in at Amman to be present at the airport and checked-in a minimum of 75 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

This change applies to all customers even if they are not checking baggage or have checked-in online.

Kuriakose continues:
"The Middle East is an important part of Delta's international expansion plan, which also includes added frequency on Delta's Dubai to Atlanta route, and as of eight November a four times weekly service from Kuwait City to Atlanta, Georgia - Delta's world hub."

The Amman to New York-JFK route is operated by a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft seating up to 215 passengers, with 34 in Delta's award winning BusinessElite class.

Delta's BusinessElite service features all-leather sleeper seats with 152 cm of legroom and innovative food offerings.

The airline's on-demand personal in-seat entertainment boasts more than 20 first-run and popular classic movies, a variety of TV programs, a broad range of music, and a suite of 12 video games.

Economy class customers also benefit from new all-leather economy seats, amenity kits and enhanced food offerings.

On flights to and from Amman, Delta's award-winning service also features Arabic-speaking flight attendants, in-flight movies with Arabic subtitles, and Halal meal options.

With its acquisition of Northwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines is now the world's largest airline with a leading presence in every major domestic and international market.

From its hubs in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, Salt Lake City and Tokyo-Narita, Delta and its Northwest subsidiary offer service to 375 destinations worldwide in 66 countries and serve more than 170 million passengers each year.

Delta's marketing alliances allow customers to earn and redeem either SkyMiles or WorldPerks on more than 16,000 daily flights offered by SkyTeam and other partners.

Delta and its 75,000 worldwide employees are reshaping the aviation industry as the only U.S. airline to offer a full global network.

A portion of some itineraries may be operated by Delta Connection carriers Comair or Freedom Airlines.
