Batelco World Freedom big success with Batelco customers
- Bahrain: Tuesday, November 11 - 2008 at 10:00
- PRESS RELEASE
Batelco customers have been reaping the benefits of Batelco World Freedom, the service that enables customers to receive calls and SMS free of charge while roaming in 21 countries, since its launch in September.
"We have been receiving very positive feedback from our customers who travel extensively for business and leisure throughout these regions," said Batelco General Manager Media and Government Relations Ahmed Al Janahi.
"Batelco, the Kingdom's leading telecommunications services provider, is the first company in the world to provide free incoming calls and SMS from anywhere in the world in 21 countries," he explained.
"The new value-added service will be very beneficial for travellers to Saudi Arabia especially during this coming Hajj," added Mr. Al Janahi.
Currently, Batelco mobile users can make and receive calls, send and receive text messages and use a raft of additional services through commercial roaming agreements that Batelco has with more than 400 mobile operators for all roaming services, all over the world.
It is anticipated that further operators from other locations in the region will sign agreements with Batelco soon to deliver reduced roaming rates to their subscribers and Batelco customers.
"The introduction of the new Batelco World Freedom is in line with the Company's long-term policy of keeping all its mobile customers in touch while they travel around the world at the most affordable prices," Mr. Al Janahi concluded.
